ORDINARY SEAMAN’S (O.S) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ON THE SHIP

      Hello friends! Today I would like to introduce to you the Ordinary Seaman's duties and responsibilities on the ship:

      
Ordinary Seaman's duties and responsibilities:

        A)   Performs bridge and port watch; maintains cleanliness onboard; perform deck maintenance and repairs; checks the hatches performs deck cargo lashing;

  

B)   Shall receive orders from the Boatswain; and

C)   Shall perform maintenance work of hull, cargo handling, mooring works;

D)   Perform navigational or anchor watch when assigned by the Chief Officer; or

E)   Shall obey orders of the person assigned to perform watch;
